An addiction can take control of a person's life. For example a successful man who is an alcoholic can lose everything including his business, family and reputation because of the devastating affects of his alcohol addiction. Alcohol is just one of many debilitating addictions that can affect our lives. Others include tobacco, prescription medication, food, recreational drugs or even sex. When a person is under the power of an addiction, that addiction controls their work relationships, personal relationships and so much more.
A person that is addicted to something is hindering and limiting their life. To live without addiction is to experience life as it should be, as we are born. There are several reasons why a person may become addicted to something. Some of the reasons include poor self esteem, a traumatic experience, stress or simple old bad judgment. If you are addicted to something, I am sure you have tried to regain control of your life and end the vicious cycle. For some people this is easy, but for many others, it's a desperate fight that seems to go on and on.
Hypnosis is an effective way to conquer addiction. The process of hypnosis is safe, gentle and extremely rewarding. Hypnosis works on a subconscious level. While a person is undergoing hypnosis they are induced into a deep state of relaxation. The subconscious mind is highly receptive to new perspectives and ideas during this sate of deep relation. The subconscious mind will receive positive suggestions that have an individual visualize a life without addiction. During the visualization process the individual is able to ìfeelî how great a life without addiction is and this can be extremely profound.
While an individual is in the process of hypnosis the individual is given encouragement, motivation, confidence building statements and a definite plant to conquer addiction. The positive suggestions that the subconscious mind receives causes the individual to change their negative behavior and thinking patterns. It is because of this change that a person is able to conquer their addiction.
Hypnosis alleviates both stress and anxiety, calming the nerves, the mind and the whole body. People who have undergone hypnosis have greater confidence and increased self esteem. If you want to conquer your addiction and turn your goals into reality I recommend, as a practicing hypnotherapist, that you seek out the services of a qualified hypnotherapist in your area. Hypnosis can help you to conquer your addiction and live a happier, healthier and more rewarding life.

Hypnosis: Fact or Fiction?
The Sleeping Prophet Edgar Cayce would command himself to engage in out-of-body experiences and near-death experiences through self-hypnosis.
Under a trance state, he would give readings and diagnoses to people he has never met. His followers documented almost 14,000 journeys unto the spirit realm, made through his subconscious mind or what Cayce referred to as the soul.
Sensational historian David Lewis revealed that Adolf Hitler was once hypnotized and this may have been the root of the kind of life he has led.
Lewis claimed that in 1918, Hitler believed he has gone completely blind despite diagnoses of doctors that nothing is wrong with his eyes. Through hypnosis, a doctor suggested to Hitler that indeed, he has lost his eyesight but through will power he can make himself see again. Thats because God made him an exceptional person, the good doctor added. Since then, Lewis said, the hypnosis marked Hitler so much that he took life believing he was exceptional, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Robert F. Kennedys assassin was under the influence of a mastermind through hypnotism during the assassination, and was said to have shown robotic, trance-like movements and repeated RFK must die over and over again during police interrogation.
Have you read about clairvoyants reaching into other dimensions to get rare or secret information? How about mediums meddling with the underworld and calling the dead? Hypnosis stories are they for real?
Yes and No.
Yes, hypnotism really has been used as part of the treatment and therapy of various physical and psychological conditions. Through its ability to tap into the subconscious and to intensify focus and concentration, hypnosis can help you be more attuned with your intellectual and emotional capacity; thus helping you modify your habits and behaviors, or wield more control over the way you think and analyze.
But no, it is not the cure-all for your problems. It is not proven to be effective every time, as often claimed. The United States general surgeon reports there is insufficient evidence to support hypnosis as a treatment for smoking cessation. Again, the effectiveness of hypnotism depends on each and every different case it is being used for.
Indeed, it will not hurt to try hypnotism; but dont rely on it too much either. It may help you and may change your life forever. It may also work for you for an allotted period only. Or it may not and you may walk out of another hypnotism session unchanged and still be the same old self. Your results will depend on a lot of other factors aside from hypnosis, such as determination, motivation, and will power. Your destiny is still in your own hands.

Coping With Pain via NLP, the Alternative Therapy's Alternative.
Pain can be defined quite simply as a symptom of some physical hurt or disorder, an affliction or an emotional distress. Mild pain can be treated in many ways ... over the counter drugs and balms. But what if the pain is chronic and unbearable? Well we get prescription drugs. Most of the drugs work well, but for some people with severe or chronic pain, NLP and hypnosis works wonders.
What is NLP? It is neuro-linguistic programming. NLP uses a set of models and principles to describe the relationship between mind and language. Though initially dubious about the treatment of pain with hypnosis, the medical community are now of the opinion that hypnosis does indeed help in controlling pain.
Acute pain lasts for a short while chronic pain lasts for a long time, usually more than a month. Even mild low - level pain can be debilitating. Pain comes in many forms, jabbing, throbbing stabbing, nagging etc. Pain is also influenced by various factors like memory, emotions and physical condition of each individual. Another perplexing complication is that sometimes pain has no organic cause at all.
Pain has sometimes been described as past remembered pain, present pain experience and also anticipated pain in the future. The combination of these three often gives us the meaning of pain and this is one of the reasons why chronic pain is almost always so debilitating. What increases the pain is the expectation that the pain will be there the next day, and the day after and the day after and so on.
A few of the techniques that help us deal with pain are given below
Trance and Relaxation are the easiest things that one can do relax. The way to relax is simple. All you have to do is tell yourself in a deep and gentle tone take a deep breathe and relax. With each breath you must relax further. Tell yourself that as you count down from 5 to1 you will relax still further till you are in a trance.
Synesthesia is a technique that is best done in a light trance. In this technique you explore the pain as a sensation. What exactly is the pain? Where is it, is it a slow or a fast moving pain? Does it have any color and texture? How does it move? This might seem difficult but don't worry. The important thing is to try and put some meaning to your pain, give it shape so that it makes some sense to your unconscious mind. What you have to do next is to think that the pain is outside your body where it is easier to observe. Try and examine it a little away from you say at a distance of about two meters. Now what you can do is to change the quality of pain. Make it smaller or bigger or change the color and the sound. Change the way it moves. Now observe what happens when you cause changes in the pain. When you are finally satisfied with the changes that you have made in your pain you can send the whole pain to a far away place or you can even put it back into your own body but in a different location where the pain can be more manageable. Or even better, you can just turn your pain up side down and put it back in the same place so that it cancels out the original pain.
Increasing Your Energy
Pain can be very debilitating and saps us of our energy. But we can overcome this by practicing some very simple visualization exercises. Bring yourself to a point of total relaxation and focus on breathing. Imagine golden ball of light all around your body,
which you can hear, as well as feel vibrating. Then imagine that when you breathe in you are taking in energy. The golden light now becomes brighter and brighter, the harmonies get louder and the vibrations become stronger and stronger. As you breathe out imagine that all the tension and pain are expelled from your body. Now the vibrations and harmonies become a tool to help you relax further and you can feel the sensations massaging your body. With the help of the techniques mentioned above you can help yourself in taking control of your pain. But remember that they are not hypnosis or NLP techniques.

The History And Mystery of Cosmetics
The cosmetics craze continued throughout the centuries into the 1900's and began to see the earliest of the cosmetics industry being formed. Mrs. Henning's House of Cyclax in London sold many products that you can still buy today from world famous companies like Avon. Another beauty salon owner found herself expanding her products to meet the demands of her upper class clientele from a facial cream that protects women's skin from the sun to lipstick and face powder. Today, you can find a whole line of cosmetics from Helena Rubenstein.
As the years went on, the popularity of beauty salons continued to increase. In 1909, a salon called Selfridges began to sell cosmetics out in the open ver the counter. Women's attitudes began to change and confidence grew. When the Russian ballet came to London, the influence of high art was apparent on many designers. A man named Paul Poiret was one of the first to come out with a much more vibrant and colorful look. It was also the first time that permanent cosmetics was seen. Women could tattoo their lipstick and eye shadow permanently on their faces.
During the 1930's the fashion of lipstick went to a darker shade with a variety of shades. Around the time of WW II, ingredients for cosmetics was at a severe shortage and women underwent a kind of make-down. This ended right when the war did and demand for cosmetics increased more than ever. Competitors began manufacturing a number of products to meet the demands of the female consumer.
Today's woman is the benefactor of all these years of trial and error with a virtually unlimited choice of products for any look they want to achieve. There are literally thousands of companies who have products in this now billion dollar yearly industry. Cosmetic products sell year round and even in times of recession.
So ladies, thank your ancestors and their concern for their own appearance for your own that you have today. There were probably days when they woke up and didn't really feel like going through the hassle of putting on their face either.

These Easy, Meaningful Feng Shui Home Tips Can Instantly Attract Positivity Into Your Life
Feng Shui is the practice of bringing great fortune by achieving balance between all of the elements. More Americans are getting interested in Feng Shui, and are now consulting with experts in how to use these practices at home. In order to learn from what professional practitioners say, you must educate yourself on Feng Shui areas that require your attention so you will be able to use your decor appropriately.
First, draw a layout of your living space. Be sure to notate the directions (north, south, east, and west) as this becomes important in Feng Shui later.
Ideal Feng Shui dictates that the front and back doors should never align with each other. This is because Feng Shui energy that goes in one door, will simply dissipate through the other without any benefit to the home’s residents. If this is true of your living space, decorate with a plant or some other large decor object to block the direct path of doors. Add a throw rug with angles to help dictate the direction of the Feng Shui energy.
To bring more positivity into the living space, add some light! Open the curtains and let the sunshine illuminate your rooms. Add green plants, as they’re cheery and natural; green is also a powerful color in Feng Shui, bringing happiness and joy into your life. You can try other bright colors too, as well as mirrors and chimes with a pleasing tone.
A water fountain inside the home refreshes everyone’s Chi as it flows here and there. It’s also really fascinating to watch as you meditate. If you’re able to add some goldfish into the fountain, even better! Gold colored things, especially goldfish, enhance attraction to wealth as they remind us of gold coins in the fountain!
The color red is significant in Feng Shui because it’s a “hot” color, full of decadence, passion, and creative energy. Use it sparingly. If you’re considering it for furniture, such as a red couch or other sitting areas, use caution. It may bring its user overstimulation which leads to restless feelings and possibly worsen their temper. It’s fine for small details, but not as a main color in a common area of the home.
Now we’ll talk a little about directions. The northern point of your home should be noted, and coordinated with other areas. Now look at your most southwestern area; this spot is where relationship energy is contained, so do what you can to create harmony. Declutter often, and decorate with love and friendship themes. Some red is a plus here, but avoid greens and too much wood or you’ll find your relationships changing with the seasons!
Get a round table for your dining room, since the shape is lucky and signals the heavens for miracles. Make sure chairs are even in number — in pairs — and comfortable for sitting and socializing as they eat. Use simple decor, though. Make the meals and each other the focal points.
Feng shui is a lot of fun, and can actually make for some beautiful and interesting decor ideas whether you reveal the basis of your decorating choices or not. However, a home that’s subtly decorated to attract positive Feng Shui does make a fascinating and hip conversation piece as well!

New Business Strategies, New Profits
Last week, one of my clients -- we'll call him Rick -- had a demo scheduled with a prospect. The standard "show up and throw up" they typically did early in the sales cycle.
Trying to shorten the sales cycle, I asked naively, "Why does the customer want to buy? What are they trying to accomplish?" Rick couldn't tell me. I asked if he thought the salespeople knew. He said no. I gave him an assignment: he had to find out "Why," "Why now," and "What's it worth." Otherwise no demo.
In other words, no compelling reason to buy... No demo.
So Rick took a risk, and is rapidly moving to a fully-paid trial implementation.
Sure, long-term objectives and plans still matter, but I've been getting more and more inquiries focused on "what to do now." Entrepreneurs and executives alike are demanding help on how to improve revenues and profits right away.
How do you make the quickest difference? Focus the bulk of your energy on revenue generation. In other words, sales! And don't do it the same old way either, because -- as you may have noticed -- it isn't working that well.
Here are five ways for your sales force to bring in more business in short order. There are no magic bullets, but just last week I taught one of these techniques to a client (#2) and he used it to close a deal the following day! Use one or use them all. Each technique will have its own effect, and each will multiply the power of the others.
1. Sell return on investment, and sell it to the CFO.
Sales people are complaining that while the pipeline may be full, the deals are taking too long to close. Perhaps that's why the pipe is so full! What are the reasons for this? Companies have money, and in many cases they have needs. But many people are so scared THEIR customers aren't going to buy THEIR wares, they are loath to spend any money themselves. The result? They are only willing to spend money when they absolutely see near-term financial payback, and the CFO is killing many deals.
The solution? Sell the return on investment. Sell the payback. And sell it to the CFO. Arm your salespeople with two things: A series of case studies that document the returns from using your product, and a well-defined ROI process worksheet. Work with the CFO to build the ROI case so that he or she owns it. This is the only way they come to believe it. Make it their idea and instead of killing your deal, they will help you close it.
2. Forget USP. Determine your Usage Cases
Instead of focusing on why your product is the latest and greatest, clarify the ways in which potential customers will use your product to solve specific problems and produce tangible results. Then, instead of touting the "benefits" of your product -- which often fall on deaf ears, anyway -- engage your prospects in conversations about what costly and quantifiable problems they now have, and how they might use your product or service to alleviate those.

Crystal Healing for Energy Addicts
Crystals and other gemstones have been used since ancient times. We can use them to improve our physical health, our wealth, our emotional stabilities, and our surroundings. In order to find the right crystal for the job, focus on the issues you're experiencing, and let your intuition guide you toward the right crystal. If you are choosing a crystal for somebody else, simply focus on them, try to feel their energies, and select the one that seems to be the right fit. You'll know when you get the right crystal: maybe you'll feel that special "spark"... it will feel right. Just use your instincts and you can't go wrong.
After you have first acquired your crystal, you will need to program and consecrate the crystals before using them. Begin by cleansing the crystal. After that, it is time to consecrate the crystal. Envision it being surrounded by a bright light in your personal power color (or white, if you're unsure which color to use, as it's a good all-purpose cleansing color). It's also a good idea to voice the dedication out loud; it helps to ground you and underscores your purpose. Your statement doesn't need to be fancy; it can be something simple like "I dedicate my crystal to good work, positivity, and healing. May this crystal be used with love and peace." That's all you really need to dedicate the crystal. When you program the crystal, it is time to specify what you'd like. Holding it in your hands, say "I now program this crystal for..." and state the purpose of your crystal. Program the crystal for anything you want, such as physical healing of a specific health condition, relationship help, reducing stress of anxiety -- by all means, voice them as specifically and with as much detail as you like. This is an important step; the crystal needs to "know" what you want it to do, after all! You can repeat the programming as many times as you need.

The Pathway to Higher Intuitive Senses
Have you had that experience when all of a sudden you just had this huge hunch that something is about to happen, and to your surprise, that intuition was eventually translated to reality?
When you feel strongly about something without logical basis to it, that's called intuition. It comes in three impressions: clairvoyance or "the third eye", sensing clearly and feeling through listening.
Clairvoyance is when your eye goes beyond what it can see. This is when you know what is happening somewhere.
Sensing clearly is basically what we refer to as "hunch" or "gut feel." This is the time when you are overwhelmed with a feeling and you can't explain it and all you can say is "I just know."
On the other hand, feeling through listening or clairaudience is being able to "listen" between the lines. Intuition also happens at times when a certain sound, whatever it is - be it a car's honk or a bird's twitting - ushers in an intense feeling.
They say only a number of people are gifted with intuition. Astrologers even insist that people born under the Scorpio or Pisces signs are naturally intuitive it almost borders on E.S.P. But studies have been sprouting left and right that proclaim that anyone can develop intuition.
Why the need to develop intuition, you ask? Why not let your emotional and psychological state as it is? First and foremost, intuition promotes good communication. It makes you more sensitive to the people around you; it often keeps you from hurting those you love because you are intuitive enough to understand them. Intuition also makes you far more creative than ever. Intuition means releasing more creative juices for any means of expression. Lastly, intuition has a healing power. This healing power is not in the physical sense, but in delving deep into your soul to eradicate some negative energy buried in it.
With that being said, are you ready to develop your intuition? Here are some ways to unlock this gift:
1. Hypnosis
Oh yes, get yourself hypnotized. Hypnosis is not limited to watching a pendulum move back and forth. Perform self-hypnosis or you can avail of hypnotic programs that can strengthen your intuition.
2. Meditation
Meditating means finding peace in yourself. If your mind and heart are cluttered with too many baggage and hurt, you wouldn't be able to quiet down that part of you that could eventually initiate intuition. There are so many ways to meditate: take a yoga class, or just simply practice some breathing that could bring you straight to Zen.
3. Think positive!
A worry-free, fear-free state could do so much to improve your intuitive ability. By staying positive, you attract good energy that would be able to easily recognize imminent feelings and events.
4. Just let go.
What does this mean? If you are on the brink of making a huge decision, let go of all the inhibitions and head to a quiet place where you could find out where the letting go has brought you. Sometimes you just have to listen to the voice within you, and that voice wouldn't come out unless you let go.
5. Never expect.
After letting go of the inhibitions and all those things that stop you from thinking and feeling clearly, never expect for an answer right away. Never expect that the "hunch" would fall on your lap immediately. Give it a little time then you'd just get surprised that -- wham! -- now you have your answer.
6. Believe in your first impressions.
When you see someone for the first time and think that he is a bit too arrogant for your taste, chances are that impression actually holds true. Most of the time, first impressions are brought by intuition.
7. Stay happy!
See? All you need to be intuitive is to stay happy! Happiness attracts immense power and such power includes intuition. In tapping your intuition, your motivation must be happiness and contentment. Given that premise, intuition will fall to you easily.
Intuition is helpful, because sometimes it leads you to something that cannot be achieved otherwise. A lot of lives have been saved by intuition alone. Decisions are easier done if armed by this gift. Develop intuition now and reap benefits you have never imagined.

Spiritual Growth in the Modern Age
One of the biggest challenges in these modern times is to keep our spirituality in check despite a society which is focused on financial prosperity, power, and the influence of others. In this age of so many modern conveniences, forming our own feelings an opinions without allowing ourselves to be influenced by everything we see and hear on TV, the internet, magazines, and other people struggling to "keep up with the Joneses" can be a tall order as well. The most discouraging part is that so many aspects of this media are centered around our physical desires and interests. This can lead to a vast inner emptiness, a lack of awareness of our true selves, and limited (if any) attention to our spiritual or philosophical aspects. Such a state can make it challenging, to say the least, for the modern person to balance the physical and the spiritual.
One of the first keys to the care and feeding of your spirituality is to try some introspection. Looking inside yourself is partly about recalling things that you've done, or that have been done to you. However, this is also a drop in the bucket in comparison to what else there is. When you assess your feelings, what motivates you, why you make the decisions that you do, and your priorities, you are gaining insight into your true self. Introspection is a learnable skill which can help you to know yourself on a deeper and more intimate level. It can be difficult, or even shocking, to come to certain truths about yourself, but remember -- don't judge yourself, be objective. And, above all, look for places where you can improve upon the self you know.
After you have thoroughly examined your inner life, it is time to determine the direction that you'd like to take things.
To grow spiritually is to develop your potentials.
Religion and science have differing views on matters of the human spirit. Religion views people as spiritual beings temporarily living on Earth, while science views the spirit as just one dimension of an individual. Mastery of the self is a recurring theme in both Christian (Western) and Islamic (Eastern) teachings. The needs of the body are recognized but placed under the needs of the spirit. Beliefs, values, morality, rules, experiences, and good works provide the blueprint to ensure the growth of the spiritual being. In Psychology, realizing oneís full potential is to self-actualize. Maslow identified several human needs: physiological, security, belongingness, esteem, cognitive, aesthetic, self-actualization, and self-transcendence. James earlier categorized these needs into three: material, emotional, and spiritual. When you have satisfied the basic physiological and emotional needs, spiritual or existential needs come next. Achieving each need leads to the total development of the individual. Perhaps the difference between these two religions and psychology is the end of self-development: Christianity and Islam see that self-development is a means toward serving God, while psychology view that self-development is an end by itself.
To grow spiritually is to search for meaning.
Religions that believe in the existence of God such as Christianism, Judaism, and Islam suppose that the purpose of the human life is to serve the Creator of all things. Several theories in psychology propose that we ultimately give meaning to our lives. Whether we believe that lifeís meaning is pre-determined or self-directed, to grow in spirit is to realize that we do not merely exist. We do not know the meaning of our lives at birth; but we gain knowledge and wisdom from our interactions with people and from our actions and reactions to the situations we are in. As we discover this meaning, there are certain beliefs and values that we reject and affirm. Our lives have purpose. This purpose puts all our physical, emotional, and intellectual potentials into use; sustains us during trying times; and gives us something to look forward to---a goal to achieve, a destination to reach. A person without purpose or meaning is like a drifting ship at sea.
To grow spiritually is to recognize interconnections.
Religions stress the concept of our relatedness to all creation, live and inanimate. Thus we call other people ìbrothers and sistersî even if there are no direct blood relations. Moreover, deity-centered religions such as Christianity and Islam speak of the relationship between humans and a higher being. On the other hand, science expounds on our link to other living things through the evolution theory. This relatedness is clearly seen in the concept of ecology, the interaction between living and non-living things. In psychology, connectedness is a characteristic of self-transcendence, the highest human need according to Maslow. Recognizing your connection to all things makes you more humble and respectful of people, animals, plants, and things in nature. It makes you appreciate everything around you. It moves you to go beyond your comfort zone and reach out to other people, and become stewards of all other things around you.
Growth is a process thus to grow in spirit is a day-to-day encounter. We win some, we lose some, but the important thing is that we learn, and from this knowledge, further spiritual growth is made possible.

Award Recipient: WHYBMNetwork's deCODED Sexes
deCODED Sexes is a SnapChat based show from the WHYBMNetwork that highlights the differences between gender roles in a creative, fun, and uplifting way. The show stars a panel of guests who answer questions, make comments, and inform the viewer about a variety of subjects.
One of the things we love about this show is that while it has a humorous and lighthearted tone, its main intent is actually to inform and teach while it entertains. Issues such as sociology, gender relations, and societal expectations based on our identities are highlighted and challenged. The panel shares experiences that they have had based on relationships or other experiences, and the audience laughs along while they’re also thinking and relating to the characters.
We at the Sage Institute are proud to present deCODED Sexes with a Media Innovation Award! Tackling complicated subject matters in ways that are relatable and easy to access is the hallmark of quality programming. We love deCODED Sexes, and can’t wait to see what they come up with next!

What Sign Is Pluto In Now?
Currently, Pluto is in the sign of Capricorn, where it will stay until the year 2024.

What this means is that, generationally, there is a struggle with power and authority. During this time, many people will be trying to reclaim control of their lives, and of the environment around them. You'll see this manifest in ways such as society's renewed interest in trying to make less waste, being more self-sufficient, living "off the grid," growing their own food, making their own stuff, homeschooling, simplifying and streamlining what was previously quite complicated and complex.
During this time, it is very important for people to realize what they have control over, and attempt to change it. Fine-tuning that which we have power over can make a world of difference in our lives. Conversely, it's also vital that we realize what's bigger than we are -- what we cannot control -- and learn to make peace with those things as we tweak the areas of our life that we can control.
Capricorn rules over money, authority, and yes, greed. Therefore, we are likely to see the falls and failings of the rich and powerful during this time. People who have shown greed and dishonesty are likely to get a come-uppance at the hands of this astrological sign. Additionally, corrupt authority has a chance to be exposed, shocking and appalling the public. Again, this is karmic in nature as Pluto exposes the dirty backroom dealings that have controlled too much, or steered certain situations in ways that they should not have been. Finally these dealings will be exposed for all to see.
Pluto's position in Capricorn might feel stifling or cold, but in fact, this is a very healing and therapeutic astrological time period. Take heart! Pluto's journey here seeks to destroy what feels restrictive and unnecessary, and instead paves the way for something new -- it knocks down existing structures, giving us space to rebuild what will serve us better. Pluto will expose the truth, unpleasant as it may seem, and help us learn from what is, so that we can determine the best way to shape what's to come.

Affirmation Definition: What Are Affirmations, And How Can We Use Them?
The term “affirmation” can sound so magical, so esoteric. Is it an incantation? A chant? A mantra? I suppose if that’s what you want it to be, it can be. However, it needn’t be shrouded in such mystery. In the simplest of terms, an affirmation is a simple phrase, sentence, a prayer, or even just a word that you can think or speak out loud in order to gain personal power. As its name implies, an affirmation affirms — it makes things happen, turns a neutral or negative thought or feeling into something more positive.
Affirmations, while simple, can have an immense amount of power! They can transform your relationship with yourself, and with others. They can enable you to view the world differently. Affirmations can aid in comforting you during times of fear or distress, and can even help you to attract positive people and situations in your life. In short, affirmation power can open up your entire being, and make you, yourself, become a wellspring of positivity for yourself — and source of positive energy for the universe through which to work its wonders.
The best part about affirmations is that anyone can use them — instantly! They are free, they are fast, and they require nothing more than faith and conviction. There are many places to find affirmations online, but you can also create your own as well, to fit whatever situation you need.
Remember that words have power. Thoughts create action. Affirmations can bridge the gap between thought and deed, in order to empower you to be your very best self so that you may improve your own life. They can help you see new opportunities where none existed before. They can open your heart and soul to new experiences, so that you can enjoy all that life has to offer. They can also uplift you, comfort you, and enable you to heal yourself spiritually — so that you can continue to be your very best.

Let Life Bloom: Easy Ways to Be Positive Every Day
Have you ever wanted to be more positive? Of course you have!
I am not talking about those imaginary people who wake up every morning with perfect hair, who sing at the sun and allow birds to fly in and chirp a happy morning tune to begin each day. Those people only exist in fairy tales!
But we do all have our own "emotional baseline" -- some people tend to be generally happier and more positive than others. The ups and downs may be affected by situations around us, or even those of our own choosing. Even though it's not possible -- or healthy -- to be 100% positive during every waking second of our lives, there are ways that we can each manage those emotional baselines in order to become happier and more productive.
Instead of waking up with those chirping birds, try to avoid things that tweet -- including social media -- in that first hour or two of your day. As an alternative, strive instead for quieter and less distracting ways to wake up in the mornings. Eat a healthy breakfast, meditate, and get ready for your day on your own terms. Immediately jumping on your phone, especially diving into social media platforms such as Facebook or Twitter -- as much fun as they may be -- can really "harsh your mellow" and put you in a more distracted, more negative frame of mind, even before you've gotten out of bed! Tend to your own body's needs before picking up that smart phone.
Keeping your work and living spaces free of clutter can also help to keep your mindset positive. I don't know about the rest of the world, but I can get downright panicky when I lose something. Life is so much easier when my stuff is organized. However, I am not always the most organized human being -- in fact, I'm still working on that! I probably always will be. But I do know that cutting my clutter has helped me to discover what is most important in my life, and it's also enabled me to find it a little easier. When you minimize, you can prioritize, which can in turn make the pacing of your life slower, easier, happier.
Spending time around children and animals can help too. See the world through the lens of someone a bit simpler than you. Kids are naturally imaginative and intuitive, without all of the complications that adults sometimes like to throw into things. Animals, too. There is nothing like going on an adventure with your favorite kid, or taking your dog for a walk -- watch how they notice and enjoy all of the little things that we tend to miss! If you don't have either of these in your life, borrow some from a friend.
Remember to take notice of those little things in life. Our lives are made up of small moments, and there's lots to love in each one. Take care of yourself, take care of others, and let others care for you as well!

How to Save Your Marriage
As individuals, we really should learn to be happy with ourselves. But we’re human; we’re wired to want and need companionship. When we enter into a good relationship, the world can be a brighter and more beautiful place. But when we’re part of a good relationship that sours over time, things can go dark and ugly pretty quickly. Any relationship may begin happily and with the best of intentions, but as things go along, misunderstandings may arise due to any number of factors – ego, personal issues, or external situations that take their toll on the relationship. When things come to a breaking point, one or both parties in a couple may decide that the relationship has run its course.
Divorce or separation can affect both the social and personal aspects of each person involved. It may be surprising to know that even when problems do come up, the marriage does not need to end. Most issues can be addressed and managed with some hard work and dedication. I have coached and counseled many people with relationship problems, and here are five of my favorite pieces of advice for couples with fractured relationships…
1. Understand and agree the problems exist. We’re not talking about giving or receiving blame and fault at this stage of the game; let’s just focus on the idea that there are problems, and things need to change. Too many people will live in denial all the way up until the last possible second – and by then, it's often too late. Be honest with yourself and your partner. Try to identify what the issues are in your relationship so that you can make an effort to improve them. Denial is not your friend. Instead of retreating, practice acceptance. With acceptance comes the ability to prepare for the challenges you'll be facing.
2. Communicate without fear or judgement. Author George R.R. Martin is quoted as saying “The unseen enemy is always the most fearsome." When it comes to marriages good or bad, this concept is always true. Whether there are known and concrete problems, or things just "seem off” in your relationship, there is no better solution then to start a dialogue. Give your spouse many chances to open up and try to get his or her perspective. Even if your partner is unwilling to discuss problems with you, persevere. However, know that sooner or later they will need to start opening up if they wish to save the marriage too. In the meantime, watch and listen carefully for cues and clues. And don't forget to be transparent in your own feelings.
3. Never underestimate the importance of passion. Problem-solving should be your biggest priority, but reigniting that flame of passion that you once shared is also one of the most important parts in salvaging a damaged relationship. This does not mean that you need to force yourself to have lots of insincere sex or to fake orgasms. What it does mean, though, is that you need to reconnect in fundamental ways. Remember what attracted you most to your partner when your relationship was young. Encourage your partner to share what attracted them to you as well. We may have a few extra gray hairs on our heads and a few more pounds beneath our belts, but essentially, you are still that lovable "you" that once took their breath away. Strive to relive those moments and feelings.
4. Seek help. Marriage counselors, coaches and therapists are all fabulous resources in the quest for saving a marriage that is mostly good. There is nothing wrong with seeking help and learning the tools that you need in order to mend something that needs some reinforcement. Getting help is a sign of strength, never of weakness.
5. The most important tip that I can give you is to have patience. You did not get into this mess overnight, and you won't get out of it overnight either. Be consistent as well as persistent. If you love your spouse, and you feel that your marriage is worth saving, work together in order to make that slow and steady effort. Give it time.
My bonus tip for you is that while it only takes one person to want to end a relationship, it takes both people to want to save it. At the end of the day, it truly doesn't matter whose fault it is that things aren't perfect, who did what, or why it happened. Both people need to be on board with repairing the relationship, and both people have work to do in order to make that happen. There will be times when walking away is the only option; but until or unless your sure that it is, it's not too late to try turning the tide.
Divorce or separation can affect both the social and personal aspects of each person involved. It may be surprising to know that even when problems do come up, the marriage does not need to end.

Happiness in Communing with Nature
Our fast-paced world can really burn us out quickly. With technology enabling us to communicate faster and easier than ever before, "alone time" is quickly becoming a concept of the past. It can be wonderful to feel connected, but it can also be daunting and draining as well. How can we get back to basics and quiet the multitudes of voices that surround us?
The answer may be simpler than you think. Try communing with nature!
Immersing yourself in nature doesn't need to be an elaborately planned scenario. Try taking a walk. Even in an urban area, you're going to have opportunities to see animals and plants -- even if it's just squirrels in your local park, or the shade of a tree planted by the sidewalk of a busy road. Find a place to sit and breathe the air. Observe the weather -- is it sunny out? What time of day is it? Perhaps you can enjoy the clouds during the daytime, or try to see stars at night.
If that's too difficult, or your access to nature is limited, try simply gazing out your window at the sky. Alternatively, you can bring natural elements inside by planting flowers, herbs, or other small plants indoors.
Whatever way you decide to commune with nature, know that it will rejuvenate your mind and spirit when you're able to let go and focus on the world around you. Our planet is filled with beautiful things, so take the time to enjoy!

Read for Your Happiness!
There's a whole world in each and every book! To me, reading is like meditation. It can quiet the mind, activate the imagination, reduce stress, and force your focus elsewhere. Reading is such a wonderful way to fill your head and relax your body all at the same time.
You needn't choose to read anything lofty, or super cerebral -- it's nice if you like that, and by all means choose it if you want to -- but even something easy and light can provide the benefits of reading. Grab your tablet, your dusty copy of War and Peace, or even the fun, short fashion magazine that brings a smile on your face and inspiration to your heart.
No matter what you choose to read, reading leads to learning -- which reads a richer and fuller life!

The Importance of Alone Time
In a world where we're used to always being connected with others, we cannot underestimate how important it is to unplug, unwind, and just spend time alone. If you're exhausted after a long week of work and personal obligations, there is nothing wrong with kicking back with some ice cream and your favorite TV show. If you're able to do so, make the time to spend an entire day by yourself. This doesn't need to be often, unless you need lots of time to recharge your batteries.
Try to set aside some time weekly, or even every few days, for a small mental vacation. Give yourself time to meditate, to read, even to cook or to plan your week. If you're able to set aside larger blocks of time, make an effort to have an "alone date" once a month, perhaps for an entire day or night. By making opportunities to keeping yourself company, you'll also be better able to relate to others as well.

Spend Time With Your Friends
We often get immersed in relationships with our significant others, or our families. But we should also strive to spend time with our friends, too.Friends are the families that we choose for ourselves. Lovers may come and go. Family members -- even though they love us -- can sometimes possess blind spots about us, since their opinions of us may not change as we grow. Friendships with those outside of our romantic or familial circles are vital to our psychological and spiritual health; they can offer us perspectives of who we are as people. Friends can also give us the objective opinions and ideas that others may not.
Make the time to maintain the relationships with your existing friends, or expand your social circle to include more people.

For the Love of Bubbles
One of the greatest things that we can ever do in order to love ourselves, is the simple yet vital act of self-care. Self-care is not a “one size fits all” type of behavior. Although the basics are universal, the concept of self-care can take very many forms: keeping ourselves well fed, exercising, getting adequate rest, keeping ourselves safe. Stress reduction is a very large part of self-care as it can encompass so many different facets of being good to ourselves.
An important such ingredient in the recipe of our own self-care is cleanliness. Keeping ourselves and the world around us clean is a wonderful way to show love and regard for ourselves (and other people, since they have to smell us too!). However, simply keeping ourselves clean, or enabling others to do so (like our children, for example) is more than just a simple act of hygiene or physical health. It is also an important aspect of our mental health as well.
The website For the Love of Bubbles, reveals a very poignant and important philosophy of cleanliness as an act of self-care: it’s important, but it should also be fun! The owner and operator of For the Love of Bubbles, Ayieta Crawford, shares with readers her passion for all things bath and body, so that she can entertain as well as inform friends and fans alike.
For a person like myself, the physical act of bathing is intertwined with the spiritual act of cleansing as well – not just a purification of the body, but a purification of the soul as well. For the Love of Bubbles is a website that truly understands that bathing is helpful for all of our dimensions: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. A truly good bath product should clean well, but it should also make us feel more than just clean. It should renew the spirit, entice the senses, and rejuvenate us whether we are finishing up the night with a long relaxing soak in the tub – or we are simply doing a quick scrub to wake up and take on the day.
Ayieta also loves to share her sweet and soapy adventures with products that come from small businesses and independent retailers. Her philosophy seems to incorporate the idea that even small businesses can create huge amounts of happiness in every product -- and sometimes, just as a fast-food restaurant cannot compare to a home-cooked meal -- nothing can satisfy the need to feel pampered and loved better than a beautiful bar of homemade soap or an amazing small-batch sugar scrub!
For the Love of Bubbles isn't just about loving bath and body products. The blog expresses a great deal of love for its followers, too. From giving tips on the best brands or the coolest new products, to announcing some truly awesome prize giveaways, this blog is clearly not just one of many marketing tools in the online realm... Instead, it is a labor of love, handcrafted with care, exactly like the product brands that Ayieta loves to share with the world.
Oh... And the pictures of her "soap rack" (as opposed to a run of the mill soap dish!) are pretty spectacular too. Check out For the Love of Bubbles today, and add a little magic to your next bath!
