Did you know that there is more than one birthstone for each month? Traditional stones were established for centuries. But when retailers got involved to try to increase sales, they invented modern “equivalents” that are based on nothing except what extras they had in stock and wanted to unload.
Tiffany & Co printed a now-famous pamphlet of birthstone poems, which were totally inaccurate, in order to sell more gems. It was full of poems detailing the birthstones and their powers, credited to an “unknown author,” ostensibly someone in the marketing department to cash in on these traditions.
January’s birthstone is garnet.
February’s birthstones are amethyst, pearl, and zircon.
March’s birthstones are aquamarine, bloodstone, and jasper.
April’s birthstones are diamond, sapphire, and mystic topaz.
May’s birthstones are agate, emerald, and chrysoprase.
June’s birthstones are agate, alexandrite, cat’s eye, moonstone, pearl, and turquoise.
July’s birthstones are carnelian, onyx, ruby, and turquoise.
August’s birthstones are carnelian, moonstone, peridot, sardonyx, spinel, and moonstone.
September’s birthstones are chrysolite, lapis, and sapphire.
October’s birthstones are aquamarine, opal, and tourmaline.
November’s birthstones are citrine, pearl, and topaz.
December’s birthstones are bloodstone, lapis, ruby, turquoise, and zircon.
Although most birthstones were pretty well-established by the 1400s, modern jewelers have altered the traditions by inventing new birthstones for the months. There aren’t any real reasons for this spiritually speaking — it was just a marketing ploy to sell more of certain gems. Therefore, don’t worry too much about it. The powers are inside of you, and you’ll intuitively know which crystal should be yours!

Aquarius peeps might conjure “doctors” like mad scientists raising the dead, or building an army of AI assholes to help take over the world.
They do love their freedom, especially in their headspace. Cutting-edge technology and experimental procedures are fascinating places for them to find their life’s calling. Also, research new diseases — or discovery of cures — will scratch that exploratory itch. (Would you prefer to discover a new disease, off-label uses for drugs, or use creative solutions to universal problems? That’s cool, too.) What does having a moon in Virgo mean?
Lunar signs can emerge in strange and unusual ways. You may not show these to the general public. However, Virgos are fabulous with communication, serving others, being useful, and caring about the environment.
I have known a lot of people with Moon in Virgo, and the general consensus is that they’re pretty smart and caring. Unfortunately, their caring nature makes it easier to take advantage of — so don’t forget to protect yourself!

What Sign Is Pluto In Now?
Currently, Pluto is in the sign of Capricorn, where it will stay until the year 2024.
What this means is that, generationally, there is a struggle with power and authority. During this time, many people will be trying to reclaim control of their lives, and of the environment around them. You'll see this manifest in ways such as society's renewed interest in trying to make less waste, being more self-sufficient, living "off the grid," growing their own food, making their own stuff, homeschooling, simplifying and streamlining what was previously quite complicated and complex.
During this time, it is very important for people to realize what they have control over, and attempt to change it. Astrological Symbols Chart
It has come to my attention that some people who are visiting the site for astrology information may not yet know what the symbol for their zodiac sign is. So I've created a quick reference chart for those who are interested. :)
When you think of the sign, Aries, consider the ram. The symbol for Aries looks just like a ram's head, with its horns.
The sign of Taurus corresponds with the bull. Its symbol looks like a bull's head, with horns sticking out on each side.
Gemini is known as "the twins," and its astrological symbol represents this too. The symbol for Gemini looks like the roman numeral 2 (II).
Cancer is often represented as a crab, and the astrological symbol for Cancer can be thought of as a crab inside its shell. It also looks to some people like the number 69. See the circles of the 6 and the 9? I always think of them as the crab's eyes, which are surrounded by a shell.
Leo is the lion, of course! The symbol for Leo is a small circle with a long, winding tail. I associate the long tail on this symbol as a lion's tail, and the circle as the lion's mane.
Virgo is usually depicted as a beautiful virgin maiden. Some schools of thought say that the symbol for Virgo is thought to represent the female sexual organs. The "loop" at the end is closed, as the female virginity is intact.
Libra's astrological glyph can easily been interpreted as the scales. The top curved part is where the scales join, and the line below is the balance of the weights.
Scorpio's astrological symbol is an "M" with a pointy tail. Just as Virgo's symbol appears interpreted as sexual body parts that are closed, the Scorpio glyph is open and ready to strike, which is a good metaphor for Scorpio's passionate lusty nature.
Sagittarius is often represented as a centaur, or a human archer. As such, the zodiac symbol for Sagittarius is an arrow.
Capricorn has been called "the goat," and you will often see the sign represented as a goat (obviously). Sometimes, though, the goat has a fish tail -- this may seem a bit confusing to some, as a "mer-goat" isn't really common! But the tail tends to symbolize Capricorn's mercurial and cool nature. You can see that the Capricorn symbol is like a fish-tailed goat in profile: the goat's horns on the left, and the fishy tail curving on the right.

Lawyers & Astrology
Taurus tend to be stubborn and set in their ways, but also very good with money. I can easily see a Taurean as a finance lawyer, estate lawyer, or even a business attorney. They could also be good in situations like corporate law, annuity settlement attorneys, or divorce lawyers as they are willing to fight for what's right and can keep a cool head even when they are feeling especially emotional.
Geminis are wonderful at communicating, and they tend to have open minds. They are great talkers, which would make them formidable in the courtroom -- especially as a criminal trial lawyer, when there is a need to convince a jury. I also feel that, as a sign dedicated to fairness and equality, they could be among the best judges of the zodiac as well.
Cancer people are emotional and nurturing. The law would be a draining profession on someone who was so sensitive, so I think they'd be great handling the types of cases where they could do the most good. This sign would be best at family law, as well as any type of litigation that is done in favor of children. Cancers are very affected by home and family well-being, and would like to provide the best possible service for people who need family help as well. They would make good defense lawyers as they pour their hearts out to those in need of help.
Leo loves the spotlight, and thrives in any atmosphere where he or she gets to step up and talk! Because of this, a Leo would do well in any circumstance where the legal case is famous, or involves celebrities and popular causes. Leo would be fantastic arguing in court, or good at giving speeches and convincing a jury, with their flair for the dramatic. It doesn't really matter if they're on the winning or losing side, as long as Leo is getting the recognition!
Virgos are definitely going to be more of the type who wants to sit behind a desk, rather than one who wishes to argue in a roomful of people. Virgos would excel at research, corporate law, and civil suits. If you needed to find a lawyer who was good with groups, this is the one. Their innate charisma and conviction can help to win people over. Sagittarius people would enjoy fighting for the rights of the overlooked or downtrodden, such as civil rights attorneys.

Capricorns are good at playing the devil's advocate, and thus can be quite convincing even when arguing for a case that they don't particularly favor. It would be hard to find a lawyer of more humanitarian nature than Aquarius.

Astrological Compatibility Chart
This weekend, I constructed a basic chart for compatibilities based on astrological sun signs. This is some very simple, basic compatibility data. For best results, I'd recommend checking the natal charts of yourself and the person you're analyzing. Even so, this is a nice quick-and-dirty bit of information that may help you learn a bit about yourself and someone else. (Note: I may even make a YouTube companion video for the chart -- we shall see!) To see the chart in a larger format, just click on it below.
1. Hearts. Generally a great dynamic with lots of attraction. Called "conjunct" by astrologists everywhere, it is a dynamic that is very beneficial because you can understand one another quite well: your likes, dislikes, and values will very likely be quite similar.
